Is this going to be a remake of Predator (1987)?
No. Predators (2010), from what the media is claiming, will be a direct sequel to Predator (1987). Robert Rodriguez and Antal have confirmed in interviews at SXSW and IESB.net, and in a live chat with fans on ustream.tv that the film is only a sequel to the first Predator film and Predator 2(1990); the events of AVP: Alien vs. Predator(2004), and AVPR: Aliens vs Predator - Requiem(2007) are ignored.

Will Arnold Schwarzenegger make a cameo in the movie?
In the film's script, there are two alternate endings, one of which features an appearance of Arnold Schwarzenegger's character Dutch from the first Predator movie. Unfortunately, he did not accept this cameo.

Who are the characters and what is known about them?
The title is a play-on-words, so we know that the human characters are supposed to be among the most dangerous humans on earth. As well as the Predators that hunt them.
Adrien Brody, as Royce a stone-cold American mercenary soldier armed with fully automatic AA-12 shotgun, that becomes the de-facto leader of the group.
Topher Grace as Edwin, a disgraced physician who seems out of place among the group of professional killers. It is implied however, that he may be a serial killer.
Danny Trejo as Cuchillo, a Los Zeta drug cartel enforcer from Baja, armed with two MP5k's.
Walton Goggins as Stans, a famous mass-murderer who was days away from being executed. He is on the FBI's 3rd most wanted list, has killed 38 people and is handy with a blade.
Alice Braga as Isabelle, a CIA Black Ops Assassin equipped with a Blaser R93 LRS2 Precision sniper rifle. Who learned her skills in the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces)
Mahershalalhashbaz Ali as Mombasa, a Sierra Leone death squad officer carrying an AKS-47.
Oleg Taktarov as Nikolai, a legendary war hero of the Spetznatz Alpha Group (Russian Special Forces) armed with a GE M134 Hand held Minigun.
Louis Ozawa Changchien as Hanzo, a Yakuza hitman armed with a katana and a Beretta 92FS pistol.

Why are the predators abducting people to hunt? Don't they usually come to earth to hunt?
In the previous Predator films, the Predators would go to Earth and hunt for their initiation. However, in the expanded universe of stories, it has been said that there are many different clans of Predators who likely have different ways of hunting. It is possible that the Predators in this film are seasoned hunters who have passed their initiation and simply hunt for entertainment, which would explain a game preserve. Other possibilities are that they ran too much of a risk (1) of being discovered and/or captured or (2) of having their technology exploited if they continued to hunt on Earth, so they re-thought their strategy by taking the humans off Earth to hunt. It should be noted once again that this film has nothing to do with AvP lore, therefore, there is no clue at this time on the reason this Predators chose to hunt this way.

How many Predators are featured in this?
There are three Predator characters in the movie, Mr. Black (aka Berzerker Super Predator), Dog Handler, and the classic Predator. However, in the trailer, 15 lasers are aimed at Royce so it is a possibly that 15 or more will show up.
